The FIA has declared another WEC calendar to complete the 2019-2020 Season 8 and to begin the new season. After the global Covid-19 pandemic a few changes were made in the schedule, it will back in the summer season that will be held from the beginning to the end of the year.
The 24 Hours of Le Mans is scheduled for new date 19-20 September 2020, while the season-opening race 6 hours of Spa will happen fro 13-15 August 2020. Le Mans will not be the final race of this season. To make sure an eight-race championship this season, Sebring's 1,000 miles race canceled on November 21 will be replaced by another 8-hour race in Bahrain.
The World Endurance Championship CEO said that the progression of global health problems leaves us with no choice. It is very difficult today to organize an international motorsport event before the late spring, so we have revamped the schedule kept the same number of competitions on the calendar.
Although we have to prepare a few modifications for the next year as we have to add several parameters, beginning with the certain financial troubles that will come. See the complete schedule below:
