History:

FIA World Endurance Championship signed a six-year deal with Qatar and declared on December 12, 2022, that the Lusail International Circuit hosted the WEC season-opening race 6 Hours of Qatar in 2024.

During the press conference for the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans, it was revealed that the race would now be known as Qatar 1812 km. The decision to name it after Qatar's National Day on December 18 was made and the race will have a strict time constraint of 10 hours. Mark your calendars for the inaugural Qatar 1812 km on March 2, 2024.
